The only time I can remember it getting down to -40° here was way back in the mid 1970s; I had a 1975 Buick Skyhawk and when I drove out to go to work in the morning, when I turned onto the paved road from our gravel private road a couple of the tires came away from the wheel rims due to being so cold.
And this is why I continue to be so impressed by Chip's GH!
