Yes, I did soak them for 24 hours. I planted them in potting soil with vermiculite. No problem about the humidity, I've got plenty of that. I spray them with water 2x a day and they are sitting in the sun. I tried to get that seed cover off with 2 pair of tweezers and I was just not going to do anything but destroy the seedling, that became obvious. I don't know if I'm clumsy or what, I had my glasses on but the little plant was too delicate. I'm afraid to try it again, I'm pretty sure I'll kill it trying and maybe it will survive if I leave it alone.

It has always irritated me that I am so bad at seeds. I'm a pretty good gardener but I've just never been able to get a seed to turn into a plant. I'm starting to doubt it even happens Whistling

I just ordered some lotus seeds from an online store here in Mexico. I killed a bunch of those years ago in the US so I guess I'll try it again in Mexico. Grumbling
A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
