I do the same thing Val, I don't list anything until it is packaged and labeled. I also keep them organized a-z as they are listed in the swap so I can find them without going through them 20 time. If I don't do it that way I worry I won't be able to find something that I had listed. Or thought I had something that is long gone.
We are supposed to get 12" of snow tonight so it will be a great time to grab a cup of coffee and package up everything.
