You are perfectly right Sue. A very striking base for a very unusual iris. As I was asking Fritz Lehman why the German irises were not so well known the answer was that German hybridizers were doing so more as a hobby. Many amazing irises among these, olidies or new ones, which worth really to be known. Loreley is a very nice name, ringing many bells here in Europe.
