Beautiful Edgings was a gift, I've had in the gardens for 4 years. It actually bloomed the first year (it was a fairly large plant when I put it in the gardens, so I did not remove the flowers) - but the flowers the first year were not representative of the beautiful blooms every year after, they were dull pastel with no colour to the edges that first summer.

Once established, they are gorgeous flowers! Our zone 3 winters do not bother Beautiful Edgings in the least, so it's cold-hardy for sure. And I did use it in my cross-pollination in 2020, planted the off-spring last summer in 2021 and will not be seeing results until this next summer or maybe even 2023. But it is definitely fertile both ways.

Although it's noted for being fragrant, I cannot smell it - I do have allergies and the scent may be too subtle for my nose, so I won't fault it on that, but I also would not praise it for fragrance either. All in all, I do definitely enjoy this daylily in the gardens.
Life is what happens while you are making other plans.
