I have had Bella Isabella in the gardens for about 7 years, so being in zone 3, I have to say that this daylily is definitely cold-hardy! Although the pattern is reliable from one year to the next, very distinctive in the gardens, the colours of the blooms can vary quite a bit...

Sometimes that background is more ivory or cream, other times it runs towards a pastel creamsicle orange ... and the pattern can range from burgundy to deep rose to almost purple. Never quite sure what it will look like till it opens.

It also tends to grow a bit shorter here than the listed 28-inches ... closer to 24-inches. Not sure if it's the location (which gets morning sun and up to early afternoon, then drops into shade) so I am moving it this year and not blaming the daylily till I can try a sunnier spot.

Love the pattern!
