I've had Prickly Sensation since 2016. It has bloomed very reliably for me. It definitely blooms earlier than midseason for me. Typically early-mid and sometimes early. It is planted in a raised bed and it has increased slowly for me. It is one of the few evergreen daylilies I have. Most either die in early Spring or while registered as evergreen act like a dormant in my garden. PS definitely is evergreen and so can be damaged by multiple false Springs. Despite that it blooms wonderfully for me every year. I typically get 12 buds on 3-way branching.

The only bad thing about Prickly Sensation for me is that the flower color can vary greatly. Early in the season the flowers tend to be pinker rather than peach. Later (maybe due to warmer temperatures?) the flowers turn peach. This past year (2021) we had a lot of rainfall and I noticed the eye disappeared, the edge was smaller (as were the flowers) and the color turned almost neon.
