Most "green" irises are yellow irises that have an overlay (underlay?) of an anthocyanin pigment. In a sense, green is an illusion created by the interplay of light being reflected from both the yellow carotenoid pigments and blue/purple anthocyanins. The quality of illusion varies quite a bit with changes in light. The green seedlings I've shown look really green under certain conditions and less so under others. "Red" irises are a product of a similar illusion.

Most of 19D-03r's siblings were white and yellow. It's the light blue base color of 19D-03r that makes the markings appear to be green. 19D-03x was more typical of this cross, white with clearer yellow markings:
