Thank You! Thank You! all; what a surprise for me this morning! Cymbalaria is known to most, possibly, as Kenilworth Ivy and since I moved it to gravel-filled cracks in a patio or two it goes berserk every year, flowering from Spring to late Fall with little 'snapdragon' flowers.
Here it is on Oct 22nd of last year having breached our garden 'retreat';

It does not have suckers like ivy/hedera and dies back to a small crown each winter. Here it is climbing the wall and most summers it covers the rocks in the back of the picture without sending ANY roots down.
