Actually, the Daylilies forum here is amazing. All questions thoroughly discussed and answered for all parts of the country. Your growing conditions and the Daylilies that will be happy there, are very different from mine North of Boston. It's important to find the ones that are designed for your climate. But many famous breeders live and work in California, including Pat Stamile who has bred Daylilies all over America but has ended up in Southern CA. You would probably do best with Tetraploid Evergreens. Around here, Diploid Dormants are a good bet. Although, I have all the different kinds, in my zone you never know what's going to work, it's considered a sort of middle ground ( zone 6/7). A few photos ( I love photos!)
