The agave is between 2 and 3 feet wide (closer to 2 feet). I think they typically get a little bigger when the soil is richer and the water more abundant. It went in the ground in 2012 from a 3 gallon pot. I have been propagating offsets of offsets on the patio ever since, and I have a pretty big one (12" pot) ready for a landscape position somewhere in the near future.
The flowering cactus to the right is a BC native Myrtillocactus. There is also a native Stenocereus in the back, mostly hidden. Both those cacti make edible fruit (in theory) but I think they lack mating partners to really get that going.
