OK, this has always bugged me a little bit. I'm pretty sure the plant is Lincoln Andrea, with an A, not Andres with an S. But it looks like maybe there was a typo in the registration by one side or the other, so our site says it's Lincoln Andres. Maybe someone can confirm it's Lincoln Andrea and fix the databases? If I'm right, Lincoln Andrea (as it's known on Chad's site, and when he sold it to me on the LA) is too pretty of a name to be mispelled.

This poor plant has had a tough time in my garden, too. The first place I planted it got overrun by my neighbor's volunteer yew, seen in the background. So I moved it to a better location, and my neighbor let a bunch of norwegian maple volunteers grow on the other side of his fence and now that's a bad spot. So I'll let others talk about the stats. It really hasn't had a chance for an optimal bloom season for me.

I do like this plant's blooms. I'm not really a toothy edge kind of guy, but this one looks a little tamer and was perfect for me. A quick look at Chad Bush' site (Colorful Chaos) shows several of his newer introductions seem to be improvements on this style of bloom like Lady Bug Em and Candy Cane Blizzard .

And then, Chad maybe isn't one of the best known hybridizers to everyone, but I stongly recommend one of these gloomy winter days that you check out his daylilies if you haven't done that, yet. He likes teeth, broken patterns and those misty spotty ones, and he's looking for blue. It's not your typical site to browse.
