Yeaaaa for you.I also have a similar situation. DD and SIL and I sold our houses and pooled our money to buy this big house with a first floor master suite which is my apt. at the end of the house. There were a few plants here but I needed something to keep me from going nuts in this far burb.
I had a five year plan,worked my buns off for 3 years and am still going but not at the pace demanded when I started.
This is one garden on the border of the property thats called Shade in 2008

Dont you agree its so satisfying to show some care has been taken of a baren area?
