So tempting to do a political thing here but I will refrain.
You attach a container on a stick or pole.
You have a few different lids you can put different shaped and sized holes into.
You put fertilizer into the container, select one of the lids that look like the grain size for the fertilizer you are using.
Hold the handle with the container hanging down.
The fertilizer should come out in the amount you want with a shake or two. Proceed about the clump.
The point being, if you have hundreds of daylilies to fertilize this can save your back from all the bending.
