I've grown it for 4 years now. I don't recall it ever being more than 24". And I don't remember the buds ever being all that dark. Maybe a little.

Maybe its height is a bit of an illusion because of how tiny it's blooms are. I don't think a lot of mini's with 1.5" blooms have near-2 feet scapes. Maybe those snall blooms on a 2-foot scape look proportioned like a taller 3-4" bloom???

Mine stands out as a bloomer. Last year mine bloomed continuously from May 25 to July 31, and still added rebloom from Sept 10 to Oct 14. I'm fortunate to have found two or three rebloomers that can do that, but last year, Bitsy was the queen of the garden for contributiing blooms.
