Hi all. if my eyes hold out I will try and contribute as like Elaine's my climate is a haven for rust. Yesterday we had 9" of rain in less than 24 hours. Mostly we have showers across the day. We have had rain on and off like this for months. Summer was not as hot as usual. many days were between 70 and 86 degrees. It is in great contrast to the few years prior where we had very little rain all year.

Many of my hems died but some survived. I bought some new ones this year, many of which immediately developed rust even tho from inland no rust areas. MY GIRL looked like it was a rust factory but has eased back.

Now the days are shortening the temps are a bit lower. The rust is abating so I continue to remove bad leaves.

I find small plants with rust usually die. but some have surprised me. HELENA SEABIRD was a rust bucket but it survives and blooms nicely.
