I planted it out directly upon receipt, either late Oct. or early Nov. The low that winter was +8F, so not too terribly cold, but cold enough for a little rose. I planted it deeply and covered loosely with oak leaves. Even the runt of the litter, Paul Jerabek, made it through unscathed experiencing Zero die-back on all. Ive had some disasters over-wintering inside so have been relying on Fall planting. Even my directly struck cuttings from Nov. went through this winters +4F with no issue except disturbance by unkown critters!😣
