I've had Paul Owen's "Mars Attacks" for a few seasons now, and absolutely love the strikingly colored large blooms. Like all other "Slightly Different Nursery" daylilies I have (I'm a huge Paul fan, not only for his daylilies, but for his warm and wonderful personality -- and I've never even met him in person!), the flowers have a very solid substance, and the plant habit is strong, with sturdy scapes. My plant had a few blooms the first year, several more last year, and I'm expecting this year to be a great year, given how the clump looks now, healthy with many fans. One of my very favorites.
