The 4-pronged version of it is better than the 3- pronged version, so I hope that's the one you got. Last time I looked, the 4-pronged version had a lifetime warranty (the 3-prong one does not), and we have taken them up on it at least once. Beware that if the claws grab a woody root, make it let go immediately, because those can damage it.

I like using it in tandem with a Fiskars pop-up weed bag. The 10 gallon one is easier for me to drag around. Just pop and shoot, pop and shoot. So fast! I would never have dreamed of weeding the lawn this way before this gadget.

It's best for weeds that have a central rosette, for example, goose grass, dandelions, plantains. certain thistles and cresses, etc.
