It's been years but poison ivy used to nail me hard when I was a kid in NC.
Grew up with it, worked with it extensively doing yard work, outdoor jobs, camping, hiking.

Night before leaving on a family vacation to the southwest I stayed at a friend's and we built a small fire and gathered wood in the dark...
By the next evening it was up and down the insides of my fingers. I spent a week going through about 30 BandAids per day to keep them wrapped. Not the best idea but we were on the road, and it kinda worked.
