Pam,
The seeds will normally germinate even in this hot damp climate. I won't get a fantastic germination rate normally, and the time period for them to germinate from first to last will probably be spread out over a two month period. The ones I put in the fridge will normally do better because they will be stratified so the time period for them to germinate will not be spread out so much. The ones I plant normally in August and September won't normally have a great germination rate either, but the ones planted later when the temps are cooler seem to do better.
Edited to add photos:
This is the only bed I had room to put any 2021 seedlings: You can see some of them have already bloomed. The row at the far end are registered plants.
These three protected beds are where the rest of my 2021 seedlings are waiting until I can find garden space for them.
This is the third protected bed of 2021 seedlings, I opened up the wire lid to show what the plants are looking like.
This fourth bed is where I have started planting my 2022 seed crop. It won't take long to fill this bed up, it holds 90 cups.
