On a serious note, this drought is having a terrible effect on all wildlife. My neighbor has a raised front porch, but it didn't stop the deer from climbing up and eating all of her plants. They're desperate for food. I throw out veggie scraps and protein cubes as well as keeping a big tub filled with water. Have to admit that sometimes I feel a little guilty when I see them standing outside the fence and gazing longingly at my garden. Not guilty enough to open the gate though...
