Pat,
I hope you don't have ticks and chiggers in your weeds. I do, so the weeding isn't happening until after the first hard freeze.
The stones were uncovered when we had a site for our garage leveled.
My "Lisfranc" foot fracture was "non-displaced", so it healed quickly and well. Immediately after the fracture I pulled off my shoes and made the broken foot look like the unbroken one - before the pain could really register. Then I hopped to the car, the Dr.s office, back to the car, to Subway to refill my ice bag, back to the car with the assistance of a kind stranger, to the podiatrist's office, back out to the car with crutches now, then to the radiology clinic for a CT scan, then back to the car, home to fight my way up 2 whole steps, refilled the ice bag, and pretty much collapsed on the sofa and barely moved until bedtime. I think it was initially displaced, but I put it back in place before any swelling started, and then saved it from getting displaced again with all my hopping about in the 90+ early September heat. Between my foot Dr. vists, preventative medicine visits for me and my husband's cancer visits, I had to drive to 14 different appointments in those 5 weeks. Good thing I broke the LEFT foot.
I'm still working on the hand. There was only one bone in one finger that was crushed, but the immobilization did almost as much harm as the crush injury itself. One little bone splintered into 5 pieces, 2 of which were removed entirely.
My foot is good as new.
My hand is trying to get there. I believe it will, eventually.
