I have several healthy luffa plants. They've been growing for a couple of months now in the San Jose area. Get plenty of sun and I water when soil is moist, not wet not dry.

I have occasional female flowers opening and quite a lot of male clusters but the males are not opening. They look juvenile.

I've read elsewhere that it's usually the males that open before the females but my case is the opposite.

Is this a matter of being patient? Or do I need to do something?

Thanks.
