Are the plants in boom right now? It is not a good time to re pot unless you have a problem. Its better to re pot in dryer season . if you break the roots be sure to let the plant sit and those cuts or breaks heal completely or when you plant make sure it dosnt get very wet it will start to rot from root up and you while have big problems, 99% of the time doing what you plan to do will cause root damage and flowers will fall. I strongly suggest wait on re potting read more about it get the materials ready DON'T buy the pot till you un-pot the plant you never know how big that will be. you dont want to under pot or over pot.

if you do it in our dry season you can also prune the stems to look the way you like. but these need dry heal also. those stems can be rooted into more plants they just dont form a caudex but they can be good blooming plants that will sell
