Frillylily said: well I'm guessing the fancy ones wont' survive our winters here in zone6. Which really has zone 5 winters occasionally. I need a lotus that will grow in clay in 3 ft of water because that unfortunately is the conditions I have. Anyone know of anything? I prefer cream white or a peach color or lavender is ok, just not pinks or reds.

My lotus survived the snowpocalypse in North Texas February 2021, and bloomed nicely last year. This year it didn't get as cold, but I have not seen my first bloom yet. and it will not grow in 3 feet of water. Drowned in 2 feet in a friend's pond, same species. I have a shallow pond to raise my lotus in and it does freeze over and that is ok. I don't have a pic of that pond frozen over, but I do have one of my back yard pond frozen over Feb 2021
