They 'fuse' very soft plastic and cloth...it's NOT 2 separate pieces that ever pull apart...and the inside of the shoe is the material & is very comfortable. I very rarely use my clogs, but do go barefoot in the boots and haven't had an issue.
Wish I'd known about their recycling program before I trashed my chicken boots!
