Marilyn,

I kill plants all the time Whistling All gardeners do, I think! There is always a new plant to be had or a new bed to be made, and all of that is trial and error. Dave and I have moved a LOT in our married life, and part of my gardening misadventures come from getting used to a new place. Our very hot summers stress out a lot of plants that I could easily grow in other climates. The Semps are somewhat frustrating for me because the need a good amount of sun, but not our full sun. Finding that right balance has been an ongoing experiment.

Several of our wonderful members generously offered to send me a box, but I did decline for the time. It is best for me to plant at the earliest time before the heat sets in. Plus, I didn't need to give Dave something else to baby while I take it easy for a bit!

I haven't yet found a fountain, but we're still keeping our eyes and ears open. I can't justify buying a new one (YET!) So many projects,so little time! Whistling

Traditionally, we take the dead of summer off from most gardening. It's our time to regroup, and plan for fall gardens and projects. I'm happy to postpone any weeding in favor of more snuggling this summer! Green Grin! Still planning, though! Our children garden with us from the beginning. When the weather cools back down, I'll be putting the baby in a carrier, and away we'll go!
