Sheridragonfly said: I gave her an acorn for just the excitement she feels
Anyone dreaming of getting their hands in the soil
And waiting for the joy of a dream that's wonderful
I know I feel that way after many years and surely did the first year
I hope some of you will reward her with an acorn because she wanted to flower garden
there are not many younger people who want to plant and work and have joy from a garden whether flower or vegetable garden.
There will be trial and error
Plants that are planted not suitable for her climate
Or sunlight
She will learn it's a work in progress
So happy for you !
I chose salvias blue black and blue ensign for my more moist flower bed
I learned from loss that most salvias like drier soil lots sunshine and not high humidity
So we have the only two that I can grow here
Picture below of blue black named salvia
Phlox and clematis
However planted on the drier end of the flower bed I have a gorgeous butterfly bush grows no taller than 5 foot prune it lightly mid March here in zone
8b In alabama
I also have two beds of daylilys
I liked coneflowers and many plants that need drier sunnier soil and I did not have quite enough of that
So you will learn
Or ask us or send me a tree mail
So happy for you Jenny!
Blue raccoon !
