Hello,

My name is Ive and I live in sunny S. Florida. I am a beginner gardener, and considered until maybe about two years ago, the 'brown thumb' of my family. Rolling my eyes.
I have a small backyard and have been experimenting with various plants to see what fits... in the end, after many battles with nature (nature won most of the time), I have taken a liking to desert roses and plumerias, basically because they are pretty gorgeous on their own with not that much care. As much as I enjoy gardening I don't have the time I would love to have to really get into it.

Until a few weeks ago, I didn't realize how diverse the adeniums were. I am in awe, and want to learn more!
Here is a picture of my white one, sorry, I don't know the name of it. It's not entirely white, it has a tint of yellow at the center:

I'm especially happy that this one is flowering again, since the rains from a few months ago almost drowned it. I had it in the wrong pot and with the wrong soil. Thankfully I learned a bit more reading about adenium care to know better now. *Blush*

Anyway... this one flowers almost constantly:

And yes, I know I have to weed it (again). I know it's not too exotic, but I love seeing it full of flowers. Lately however, I've been battling the mites and the oleander caterpillars on it. Up till now, it had been basically pest free.

This double flower one (again, I'm not sure of the name), I got a couple of weeks ago in Homestead. It's because of the selection I saw on this particular nursery that I got interested in knowing more about other varieties of adeniums.

And now that I found this forum in allthingsplants and I get to see the photos of your plant collections, I believe I am hooked! Smiling

Suggestions for this newbie, former brown thumb, are welcome.
Gardening is cheaper than therapy!
Boricua in Florida, I guess that makes me a Floridicua!
