I have had MEPHISTOPHELES in my garden for 20 plus years. I grow it in partial afternoon shade, so it still looks good when I get home from work. Branching and bud could be better, but I love the color. On cool mornings, it is more gray/purple. Once the sun hits it and the temps increase, it becomes saturated with purple. I don't have any plans on removing it from the garden any time soon. All of the pictures are a good representation of how MEPHISTOPHELES looks in my garden.
