I got a different brand of label machine 5 or so years ago, similar to the P Touch, and I really loved it just for the reason you described... but the labels started fading after just a year or two (very sunny yard). Now I just stick with the Avery labels... sometimes I'll make temporary labels with Industrial Sharpie until I get around to formatting a page of laser labels...

You can run the same page of labels through the printer several times, printing out however many you need... just leave the areas blank where you've already used labels from that page.
