I always had loose piles of big rocks in my gardens in OH for toads but when I've tried that here, too many weeds invade.
I don't have many tree frogs lately. I suspect it's because of so many stray cats recently. When they were around, I would often see one hiding in bromeliads. One came inside a few winters ago.
