At my old place my hybridizing daylilies were under shade cloth last year but the other daylilies in the garden were in full sun all day. This year the shade cloth never got put up so everything is in full sun. We haven't gotten hotter than around 96 or so this year but last year was awful, can't remember the temps but it was triple digits. The daylilies do just fine in these temps as long as they get adequate water, we water every day. Toward Septemper the foliage may get a little brown on the tips, but nothing major. We do have some that will go into summer dormancy when it gets super hot, but they come back when it cools down.
