A lot of my Gasterias get black spots from time to time. I don't really worry about it. I mean, everybody likes a perfect plant, but I can always crop out the imperfect parts, and the offsets will grow out just fine. Smiling I give my plants lots of sun and they go dry on a regular basis. They live outdoors in the real world. I always viewed the spots as an unfortunate occasional fact of life, solely a cosmetic issue.

3 Gasterias on the patio with spots (not all plants get them):

With a picture we might be able to tell you more. If this is a new Gasteria (like from the store) I would protect it from direct overhead sun for a couple of weeks.
