If you see small berries, and they do not hide, and they are very pretty, first light green then as they ripen, the colors change from light green to cream, brownish, pink, blue, and purple, very beautiful, that was why somebody imported the vines into US. Get them all out ASAP----or they will cover everything. That is what happened to me. My neighbor in the back used to have grapes, so I thought they were grapes, and then I forgot, and I also neglected my back yard, was concentrating to get the bindweeds and Bermuda grass in the front yard. After several years, I discovered that they had covered everything and every where. So please keep watching- The main vine is about as thick as your pinky, then from there are long, VERY LONG branches that are thin. The thin ones pull fairly easily, but the fat branches are very hard. And they climb high, reached and climbed my neighbors branches of the crepe myrtle tree branches over my property, climbed that high---and hard to pull---

Thankfully most of them are gone now. By doing it I discovered the HOW to do it---working with a Florian lopper and my favorite sharp small pruner and exercising your arms' strength! and also make sure I was on level ground to stay on my feet so that I do not fall. Here is info from the Virginia Nature Plant Society: NOTICE that the leaves have different forms.
