As president of the American Rose Society, Bob Martin has written two very detailed articles about the different pruners that are available from different manufacturers. They are a really interesting read. The first one is dedicated to all the different models of Felco (the brand he uses), and the second article is dedicated to other manufacturers, some of whom he says rival Felco. I was particularly struck by a 46-inch long pair of pruners designed for trimming tall climbers, as I had never seen one of these before. I think I will get a pair!
