Yayyyyy Lynn, blackberries and ditchlilies. You're on grazing ground right there! Two of my favorites. Use the daylily buds in a stir fry, they're really good mixed in with other things, sort of crunchy. Or you can add some tiny ones whole to a salad or chopped, either works. Or, you can add a little breading and fry them. i was thinking I mentioned that part in the article. In any case, there aren't many ways you can't fix them, but I especially like them in stir fry, which is my favorite summer meal. I'm drooling over those blackberries too.

I wish you tons of ditchlilies, as many as you want, Anni. They are absolutely the most carefree plants you'll ever find. Just happy to be here. And right now, of all my daylilies in all my gardens, the ditchlilies are the only ones that don't mind this 112ยบ heat. They are still blooming.
