The Perennial Plant Society had a garden tour this morning, so I drove an hour to go see the garden. It was raining fairly steadily, and I got a bit wet. But there is a great garden center just down the road from the site of the tour, so I went there. They had so many potted peonies, herbaceous, Itohs, and woody.
I came home with two woody peonies. $85 each in a 5 gallon pot.
The first one I could not find on the internet.

The second one comes up as a soft yellow.

I will be planting them within the next couple of weeks. I'm going to wash the potting soil off so I can see the grafts and make sure they are buried deep enough.

These were really worth slogging around the garden center in the steady rain.
When I got home I found that everything was still dry, but we did get a few light showers this late afternoon.
LG - My garden grows with love and a lot of hard work.
