They are probably too big to balance their self on the small perches. I only put out sunflower seeds, cheep black ones, I have a lot of finches and black-caped chickadees. Plus the Red birds (cardinals). Sometimes the Doves will hang-out on the ground under the feeder. I do not have much trouble with the squirrels since I got a new feeder, Its a NONO feeder and the squirrel can only get one seed at a time so he gets frustrated and leaves, swishing his tail like he is mad. Who cares?
