If you're washing off the roots before planting let us know how they look! That sized plant you could have significant woody roots rather than just the nurse root. If you do, will you remove the nurse root? I've never, the main ones I've seen in that state are from Nate and his are on stock that has never pushed a herbaceous stem for me….wouldn't know what to do!
