normally they multiply.. but I think the Oct snow storm.. or the excessive rain killed them .. remember my town was under water for a couple of weeks after Irene... I lost 20 or more this year.. and not just lilies.. delph, coral bells, lots of stuff ... in some of Randy's shots around the front yard.. I spotted a orange & lemon.. or lemon & orange gallardia.. they never come back for me... strange year for sure.. the back bed that was full of delphs, salvia, lilies... is all barren this year.. I planted elephant Ears & caladium from Bill back there to try and make up for the emptiness .. biggest problem I am having back there.. the tree loss must have changed how much sun I get there.. and I wasn't thinking about it until I realized some things are burning that didn't before .. the lobelia look good back there.. go figure.. most of that bed got planted before I knew anything about gardening.. so I guess it was overdue to be changed anyway.. all the lilies would lean towards the sun there.. allium still do... things like that.. should put that garden gadget that Randy bought me a few years ago that tracks all that stuff and I can see it on the computer after a week.. see if it's a part sun spot now.. or what
