It gives me such joy to see everyone's lilies! They are all beautiful.
Here is the Dutch OT hybrid 'Robina'. The first photo shows the buds yesterday, and the other two photos are from this evening. The fragrance on this cultivar is exquisite; just as strong as that of 'Invasion' but without any of the funky formaldehyde-like undertones. I also love the color. I expected it to fade much more than it did. The open flower photos were taken after an entire day of full, hot sun baking down on them, whereas 'Satisfaction' fried to a crisp in today's weather.
With every passing day, I love 'Anastasia' more and more. These huge blooms are intensely fragrant and look stunning in the garden. So refreshing on such a hot day!
First flower on 'Scheherazade'. Like its sport 'Silver Scheherazade', this one also has a light but beautiful licorice scent. This is a very elegant lily.
Last but not least is the lovely Lilium henryi. This beautiful lily is growing in a hot, drought-prone area and yet is performing admirably as a first year plant.
