This remains the driest year-to-date on record. In other words, if you compare San Antonio's rainfall data (dating back to 1886) from January 1st until September 29th for every year, you'd find that 2022 is driest. We've only received 8.20", which is more than 16" below average! The next driest year was 1917, where by this time, SA had only received 8.88". Hopefully a pattern shift will take hold later this fall.
