Not much difference when you get a hot, dry wind behind it. It's just a shame because the buds don't get enough time to develope full length and color--everything is dull-er this year. the typical blooming period is compressed also. It'll be over before we realize it--I think you said something like that earlier, too. 105' F all afternoon. Stiff wind 24, gusts to 31 MPH.

Edit: Walk around tonight: many sun scorched buds on OT whites and pinks and Oriental whites. My Div 6s have afternoon dappled shade canopy, no scorch there. Pictures are Garden Angel, Visa Versa, Hacienda
