Just another reminder on the Mosaic Virus (MV) infected desert roses, my 2 desert roses that I suspected have virus still have the discoloration and so I still kept them separated from my other desert roses.

Mosaic virus will not kill adeniums but this could easily be spread or transported by thrips, mites, etc (insects) or dirty unsanitized tools or even by us.

So if the Adenium plant with the virus gets infected with those insects and those move to the other ones, they will get the virus. There is no solution for a virus, it is either you live with it (the plant will not die) but better yet dump it so it will not affect your other collections.

I am seeing more and more plants showing online or even in the big box stores that look like they have MVs. So be careful when buying desert roses. Make sure leaves look healthy and no blotches.
