That will be wonderful, Ursula. That big Neo of yours is truly magnificent, and I'll bet it smells divine, too.

I think I may have a casualty from TS Debby's rains - this is my little variegated Phal I've had for 3 years. It has been fussy and not really healthy for as long as I've had it, and now, since it was on a mount I left it out in the rain for the 4 days' deluge we got. Figured you can't really overwater an orchid on a mount. Hm, maybe that wasn't right? Yesterday morning found this big squishy soft spot near the base of the newest leaf. Today it is turning black but drying out, too. I sprayed the leaf on both sides with Bayer 3-in-1 and have quarantined it. Any thoughts, my friendly experts?

On a further note of nature taking its course, the lovely cork mount that has my NoID brassavola on it is "leaking" sawdust from the bottom of it! I think I have carpenter ants at work in there. I've just had it too good for too long, nature is taking me down a peg, I'm thinkin!
