I think one of the advantages of the clocks changing is that it reminds us that time is just a concept that we all agree to. A lot of people think the world they live in is all there is, and forget we are just a bunch of animals scratching out a life on a rock hurtling through space. It is nice to be reminded once a while that society is basically an illusion, and the silliness of our human ways.
The time change does that for me. Lifts the veil for a second, and makes me chuckle how silly we all are as a species.
