Yes, I am also on Yenok's mailing list. He has some beautiful plants, the only reason I did not have some shipped yet that are paid for is that I am in zone 3, the ground is frozen and we have snow. He will send them in the spring.
As for any sellers / buyers on the LA ... Caveat emptor. (And yes, bonuses are exactly that: a lucky extra.)
But there should be something somewhere between the feeling that 'winning' an auction bid means you actually did 'win' something ... vs. that you outbid someone else or it was just a basic business transaction (paid 'x' amount for 'y' seeds).
I had more fun chatting with some of the very experienced hybridizers (especially those who were so kind as to share their thoughts on the process); and some who, at the bottom of the description, gave a note to what they were looking for when they crossed two daylilies. It generally wasn't necessarily the obvious - instead, maybe they were looking for strong, sturdy scapes or good substance. Their insights were the best 'bonus' I received.
