Glad to see al the blooms you folks have posted.My orchids haven't bloomed for me as they usually do partly for lack of TLC on my part..and partly from an invasion of mealy bugs.I've never had them before but I bought what I thought was a bargain at Walmart.It was no bargain!!The bugs managed to spread in no time to all my plants and I've been fighting them ever since with Neem oil.I'd like to use a systemic insecticide but hesitate to use it in the house.
I haven't been well so I haven't been shopping so when I saw Sobetys had a new shipment of orchids in I went down with my airmiles money in my hot little hand.They loooked lovely with lots of side shoots.I bought 3 and DD bought me one.When I got them home the buds on al the side shoots were missing.I called Sobeys and they are replace them when they get another shipment.They also said I didn't have to return the faulty plants.I was pleased with their service.Good old maritime business .That's my tale of woe.Here are the phals.
